HAN-ERI / Miyabi
HAN-ERI is named after the decorative collar worn with kimono — where leather meets obi on a diagonal - a fresh, unexpected composition that feels both new and deeply rooted in tradition.
Please note: This bag is made from a vintage obi, so small marks, stains, or subtle imperfections may be present. We carefully select obi with minimal signs of wear, but these unique characteristics are part of the beauty and history of vintage materials.
Care
Obi Fabric
Due to the nature of the materials used, the surface may scratch easily when rubbed against hard objects. Please avoid storing in areas with direct sunlight, high humidity, or high temperatures, as this may accelerate deterioration. If moisture or dirt is left on the surface, it may cause discoloration or damage.
If a stain occurs, first gently dab the area with a soft towel. If the stain remains, you may try gently dabbing it with a slightly damp towel. Do not rub the fabric.
As each obi is unique and may differ in its materials, dyes, and finishes, we cannot guarantee that water is suitable for every fabric. If you choose to use water, please test it first on a small, inconspicuous area and proceed at your own risk.
A water-repellent spray may help protect the fabric from moisture and stains. However, different fabrics may react differently to these products. If you choose to use one, please test it first on a small, inconspicuous area and use it at your own risk.
Please keep away from heat sources and avoid direct use of an iron.
Leather Parts (Handle / Strap / Charm)
Natural leather is used for certain parts of this product. Please note that scratches and color variation are natural characteristics of leather. Color fading or color transfer may occur. Please be cautious when wearing denim or other garments prone to color bleeding, as color transfer to the product may occur.
As leather may cause skin irritation in some individuals, if you experience any skin reaction, please discontinue use and consult a medical professional.
Design
Each SEN TOKYO piece is designed with restraint, letting the obi's own history and pattern take center stage. We work with the natural shape and markings of each textile rather than against them, so every seam, fold, and detail honors the material it came from.
